Hey there! I’m Mel LeForbes, and if you're reading this, first—thank you. This is my very first blog post, and it marks a new chapter in a journey that’s been anything but easy.
Let me take you back a few years.
About seven years ago, I decided I wanted more out of life. More freedom. More control over my time. And yes—more income. Like many people, I turned to the online world with big hopes and a clear goal: build a business that works for me, not the other way around.
What happened next?
I fell into what I now call the digital rabbit hole. I bought course after course, enrolled in webinar after webinar, and followed every “guru” who promised a shortcut to success. And every time I thought, this might finally be the one, it wasn’t. Either the information was outdated, the support was nonexistent, or the strategy just didn’t work.
I don’t say this to complain. I say it because it's real—and if you’ve been down this road, you know exactly what I mean.
There were moments when I almost gave up, moments when I questioned whether I had what it took. But despite all the false starts, I always came back. I realized I wasn’t failing. I was learning—what not to do, who not to trust, and, most importantly, how to keep going when it felt like nothing was working.
And that’s where the shift happened.
I stopped chasing the next big thing and started focusing on building my thing. That’s when I found John Thornhill’s Online Success Coaching Program—and it felt like a reset button—finally, a step-by-step system with real guidance, structure, and someone who cares whether you succeed.
Today, I’m working on creating my very own digital product—something I believe in, something I’m proud to offer, and something that could help others avoid the pain I went through.
This blog will be my open journal, a place where I share the raw, real story behind building an online business from the ground up. You’ll get the good, the bad, and even the stuff that most marketers won’t tell you. I’ll share tips I pick up along the way, breakthroughs, breakdowns, and a few moments I hope we’ll be able to laugh about later.
I want this space to be more than just another blog. I want it to be a place where people tired of the hype can come for truth, encouragement, and maybe some inspiration.
I see you. Have you ever felt like you’re trying everything and nothing is working? I’ve been you. And I want you to know—you’re not alone, and it’s not too late.
Thanks for being here with me at the beginning. The best is yet to come.
